About Eli

Hi I'm Eli! (Sounds like Ellie) I was born in 1976 and I love painting. I was raised in Alaska in Anchorage and the Kenai Peninsula. I grew up fly fishing with grizzly bears growling, eagles flying, moose marching, whales swimming, glaciers dripping, wolves howling, octopus tentacles twisting, starfish shining and loons calling with endless sunny summers, dark cold icicled white winters and of course big mountains. I loved ice skating, sledding and building snow forts. I now live in Austin Texas with cactus, vultures, armadillos and big longhorns.

My paintings tell stories of living together, working together, eating together, the sacredness of food, friendship, family and the cycle of life and death.

The paper and canvas prints made with my art are printed and built by Joel Ganucheau. Joel is a full time artist and the founder and co-owner of the Austin Art Garage, a loved art gallery here in Austin. Joel prints his own art and he prints mine too. He has fancy printers in our shared art studio and he builds the stretcher bars himself. All of the prints are made by hand in Austin Texas. Please allow at least 10 business days for print orders to ship. Go look at Joel's art on his website joelgart.com - you'll love it.
